This is a book cover for the Folio Society's publication of the Historia Naturalis by Pliny the Elder. The page is on genuine parchment and is illuminated in a 15th c. style using all rare and authentic medieval pigments and gold. The paints were all hand tempered and applied using the techniques seen in my Articles Page. Our third cover is about a pharmicist making medicines from the resources of the land.
