This is about space, and the stark contrasts between the icy cold and
the intense warmth found there. The entire painting is created on a
textured 3-dimension surface to create a sense of harmony within it as
a whole, rather than letting it feel like just a space scene. The
cold of space is like crumpled ice in its harshness. At the same time
whole worlds can radiate warmth from deep within, existing as desserts
or even steaming balls of gas. |
