The Whites Series
The WHITES series began as an exploration
of color and texture. In this case, the white is symbolic of the
things in life that obscure our true visions. White is supposed
to be a symbol of purity, but the whole point is that white is
often used as a cover to make anything seem OK. Is it a "white
lie?" It it a truth "white washed?" To learn the
truth, we need to ake the time to look beneath the white and see
the true colors of the world. Each of these paintings will reveal
a different meaning to any given individual. I had something in
mind, but it is up to you to interpret them. I'll give you a hint
though. I will describe the hidden elements in the first one...
